MarKey® EDTA Chelate formulations are a broad range of fully chelated solutions that include single trace elements or combinations to prevent and correct crop mineral deficiencies.
MarKey® CalPal Zinc 9% EDTA Chelate is recommended to prevent and correct crop zinc deficiencies. Cal Pal Zinc has excellent compatibility with 10-34-0 and calcium fertilizers such as CAN-17 and calcium nitrate solutions, where conventional blends with EDTA chelates may crystallize in field storage. Adequate calcium and zinc levels can help protect against plant diseases and metabolize nutrients into plant enzymes vital for production.

MarKey® CalPal Zinc 9% EDTA Chelate can be applied via soil application through drip, sprinkler or furrow irrigation systems, or in a band or broadcast fertilizer applications.
Nutrient Function
Nitrogen is the main plant protein component and is needed in large quantities for healthy plant growth. Nitrogen deficiency can lead to root disease, reduced photosynthesis, stunted plants and reduced crop yield, while sufficient nitrogen can increase tolerance to early-season soil diseases.
Zinc helps facilitate enzyme function for protein synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism in the plant. It is essential for chloroplast formation and auxin metabolism. Auxins are plant hormones that help regulate growth and development, including cell division and flower initiation. Low zinc levels in the soil can increase vulnerability to root diseases such as phytophthora.
