FertiKarb^® KCM 0-0-8

FertiKarb^® fertilizers are formulated with a novel complexing agent that feeds plants and soil biology. Plant-derived carbohydrates are used as complexing agents to enhance plant nutrient uptake and function as an energy source for cells. FeriKarb^® KCM 0-0-8 is a potassium fertilizer that contains calcium and magnesium. It is formulated with Mar Vista’s proprietary blend of plant-based carbohydrates to improve nutrient uptake and Nutri-Drive® technology to increase nutrient use efficiency and mobility in the plant.

Nutrient Function
Potassium is critical for water balance regulation within cells and sugar production and transportation within the plant. Adequate potassium levels support pest and disease tolerance by enhancing stem strength.

Calcium is essential for strong cell walls within a plant, which discourages nutrient leaching. The nutrient also helps delay fruit and leaf senescence to retain fruit. Calcium availability will depend on healthy interactions with magnesium, potassium and ammonium levels in the soil.

Magnesium is critical for chlorophyll production as it serves as the backbone of the chlorophyll molecule. Magnesium also stimulates enzyme reactions in the plant that help with phosphorus transport. Elevated calcium, potassium and ammonium levels in the soil will reduce magnesium availability for the plant.
